Aloha PMB Ohana! I hope everyone had a Spook-tackular Halloween.
Thank you PMB Boosters. As parents of band students, you play an integral part in our dynamic program. We are looking forward to the Rainbow Invitational and focusing our efforts toward the Rose Parade. Becoming strong enough to march and perform non-stop for 2 hours will be a great journey!
RAINBOW INVITATIONAL
Up next is our annual awesome performance at the University of Hawaii Rainbow Invitational on Tuesday November 10.
Please come support your band and experience an evening of amazing uplifting entertainment by Oahu high school bands with a finale by the UH Rainbow Marching Band.
Each Value Plan Meal A includes 2 adult tickets. Tickets were distributed to the students 10/17 and 10/24. Ticket sales have concluded. Thank you for those who purchased tickets through our boosters. Additional tickets may be purchased at the Aloha Stadium box office.
Uniform. The uniform for the Invitational will be PMB Jacket, Hat, Aloha Shirt, blue pants, long black socks, black marching shoes and black belt. Reminder: We will not be renting any uniform parts for this event
Schedule. Below is the tentative schedule for the event:
4:15 Call Time
4:15 Prepare instruments for loading; clean instruments as needed,
4:45 Eat VP meal, get into full uniform, load truck
5:45 Uniform inspection and load bus, depart for Aloha Stadium
6:30 arrive and move into stadium to watch the following schools perform:
6:54 Roosevelt, 7:08 Kamehameha, 7:22 Kalani, 7:36 Leilehua
7:50 Leave stadium stands to warm up area
8:00 unload truck and get ready for warm up
8:28 In position at top of tunnel Official warm up
8:56 Enter the Tunnel for pre staging area
9:10 Punahou- Give the most Powerful, Stunning, Awesome performance ever!
9:24 UH performs
9:40 Band Recognitions and Awards
10:00 Exit the Stadium, load buses, and return to Punahou
11:00 return to school
Value Plan Meal. The value plan meal will be Mochiko chicken, Fish Jun and Teri beef for the regular option and Vegetarian Lasagna for the vegetarian option.
ROSE PARADE REHEARSALS
As noted in last week's blog posting, rehearsal scheduling is an enormous endeavor with multiple administrative input. Adjustments had to be made to the rehearsal schedule and students were notified last week. Please review the updated schedule each week as the schedule may change as needed. 15, Sunday 1:00 PM - 3:00PM Chamberlin and Palm drives may be mostly closed for this rehearsal. The food committee will be providing musubi and half banana snack from 12:15-12:45 PM at the band room lanai. *CHANGE in date and time
22, Sunday 1:00 - 4:00 PM. May end earlier if we accomplish the needed goals. Chamberlin and Palm drives will be mostly closed for this rehearsal.

Friday January 1, 2016. 127th Rose Parade will feature our amazing marching band along with floral floats and equestrian units on the 6-mile route in sunny Pasadena California.
