With the last week of school is just around the corner and we have some information to share about upcoming events.
Soon students will begin contacting new members to welcome them to the band. Section roster lists have been shared with student leaders to start communication. Students – keep checking you email.
Marching basics with Mr. Roush the first week of summer. We know not everyone can make these, but if you are in town this is the best way to make the rest of summer band more effective. These rehearsals will help make sure everyone is on the same … foot as students have opportunities to reinforce the correct skills over the summer.
These short rehearsals are to better value student time through the summer. This is an adjustment from the past and hopefully will pay dividends through the season. Special efforts to attend are greatly appreciated.
Monday 6/6 1-3:30. New marchers, section leaders and drum majors - There will be "warm up" activities and about 2 hours of marching outside. Please bring your water bottle, sunscreen, hat, athletic shoes, comfortable clothes and instrument. We will start in the Mau Band Building.
Tuesday 6/7 1-4:00. All students – Marching and activities. Starting at Mau Band Building.
Please make sure that you have registered for band camp and the value plan. Deadline for registration is May 31. It is important for us to have students registered so we can plan for camp and the season. Please help us with this.

There will be a design-thinking workshop regarding band boosters on Monday June 13 from 1-4 on campus. We are looking for input regarding the most essential elements of the booster organization, how efficiency can be increased honoring everyone's time and ensuring shared vision. If interested in attending please email the Music Department Head Mike Lippert at [email protected].
Uniform fittings – we need to make sure everyone has the correct shirts, pants, belt, shoes and jacket that fit.
